  9. She does come off as haughty in public, it is her image and she cares a lot about that. But when they had their TV show At Home with the Beckhams, I think she seemed well grounded and caring. So, I don't think her cold public image is the same as her warm family oriented real self. (Basically the opposite of a narc who makes their public image better than their true selves)

England at that time had ended decades of religious turmoil and was in a live and let live phase of religious freedom. Not everyone was happy about that, they believed it was too liberal.
