  1. People buying assets(bonds, real estate, shares) denominated in yen.they will have to buy the yen from the global open market to exchange for ownership (buy) the assets. The amount of yen circulating in the global open markets will be reduced compared to the amount of US dollars(and other currencies). So the exchange rate of yen to the dollar will rise.
