  1. Returning a negative test result is far more effective than simply having a vaccine passport. The vast majority of Australians are fully vaccinated and yet in the last two weeks there have been almost 300 thousand new cases of Covid-19. Those are the statistics and I assume that they are accurate. Perhaps this could be the case because fully vaccinated individuals have an overoptimistic perception that they virtually pose no threat to the community or themselves. This change in behaviour is far more dangerous than a professional athlete who returns a negative test. That's just my opinion, everybody has one.

  4. The relevant authorities could have facilitated a way for unvaccinated players to compete? They did so last year, so it clearly can be done! They say without rules there would be chaos. Unfortunately, when you have incompetent individuals writing the rules you also have chaos.
