Novak applied for a medical exemption, and it was up to the relevant authorities to accept or deny his application. The fact that they are overturning their initial decision upon his arrival, is a low act. Just like they flip-flopped with the French submarine contract not long ago. He flew half way around the world. Is this how the so called civilized world behaves. Absolutely shameful!

Currently Australia has a record number of new covid cases because of the free quarantine entry if you are fully vaccinated. Why give them the special status? So it’s ok to infect others so long as you are fully vaccinated!

Some fully vaccinated individuals have an overoptimistic perception that they virtually pose no threat to the community or themselves. This change in behaviour is far more dangerous than a professional athlete who returns a negative test.

It's just that the vaccinated don't need to be quarantined when it is a known fact that they could be positive upon arrival and might infect other people. It takes days for the symptoms to manifests. We need to stop people from going around spreading COVID!

@jackhenner968 My friend you don't have to defend the process. Not every decision made by the government is correct. They made a mistake, and shifting the blame onto Novak will not fix it. There should be no preferential treatment, but there should also be no loopholes!

The relevant authorities could have facilitated a way for unvaccinated players to compete? They did so last year, so it clearly can be done! They say without rules there would be chaos. Unfortunately, when you have incompetent individuals writing the rules you also have chaos.
