  3.  @ryanwalters6184  Zelensky had the chance to prevent this conflict through diplomacy. But he lacked the courage and the conviction. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. This conflict was preventable. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Poroshenko, Merkel, Hollande and Zelensky admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated that if nothing changes, they will be forced to act in order to defend their national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and nato. NATO is not a defensive alliance. Nato illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and recently arrested a leading priest. Zelensky also tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. With respect to Crimea. The Sevastopol naval base is the main base of the Black sea fleet. Losing this base would be catastrophic for the Russian national security. Russia annexed Crimea without a single shot being fired because the majority of the populace in Crimea is ethnic Russian. The results of the Crimean status referendum support this fact. I think it would have been best for Ukraine to give up Crimea. A piece of territory that Khrushchev gifted to Ukraine in 1954 is not worth the destruction we are witnessing today. The Russians don't recognize the legality of the transfer because it did not correspond to the constitution. War is hell and my heart bleeds for those who have suffered. Praying for the innocent people. 🙏

  6.  @ryanwalters6184  Compare this situation to the Cuban missile crisis. Similarities: Serious threat to national security. What caused the Cuban missile crisis? In 1961, the US government put Jupiter nuclear missiles in Italy and Turkey. April 17, 1961 the U.S. attempted to overthrow Castro in Cuba with the Bay of Pigs invasion (resulted in failure). Subsequently the Kennedy administration planned Operation Mongoose (an extensive campaign of terrorist attacks against civilians, and covert operations, carried out by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in Cuba). In July 1962 Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev reached a secret agreement with Cuban premier Fidel Castro to place Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba. The US became alarmed once they found out about the Soviet missiles in Cuba. This event is know as the Cuban missile crisis. How did the Cuban missile crisis get resolved? Luckily there was a diplomatic resolution and our civilization avoided a potential catastrophe. Khrushchev issued a public statement that Soviet missiles would be dismantled and removed from Cuba. The efforts of John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev brought a more peaceful end to the conflict. Soviet missiles out of Cuba and US nuclear missiles out of Italy and Turkey. Kennedy also guaranteed that the US will not invade Cuba. Current conflict in Ukraine: What caused the conflict? Foreign backed coup in Ukraine (successful 2014). Civil war starts (2014). Attempts to end the civil war fail for 8 years. Talks about Ukraine joining nato. Ukrainian troops being trained to nato standards. Ukrainian troops receiving nato weapons etc. Russia watched as nato actively strengthened the Ukrainian military capabilities. This posed a serious threat to the Russian national security. Zelensky even talked about Ukraine acquiring nuclear weapons.

Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens—theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Zelensky banned all opposition and recently arrested a leading priest. Is this true? Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Do you deny this? Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Did this happen? Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Who has Nazi tattoos? Answer me honestly. What tattoos did many captured azov fighters have? The ones captured in Mariupol. Who are azov, right sector, aidar? Some Ukrainian troops have been using human shields. Hiding in civilian infrastructure, storing weapons inside or in close proximity to civilian buildings, refusing to allow civilians to leave etc. Russia is trying to minimize civilian casualties. Praying for the innocent civilians.🙏 The civilian casualty ratio is relatively low in this conflict. (the ratio of civilian casualties to combatant casualties or total casualties) If you compare this ratio to the one during the Iraq invasion you will notice a big difference. I'm just stating facts. I'm not saying this to disrespect any civilian casualties. It's very sad, but I wish to put this in perspective. What happened to Darya Dugina? She was a journalist. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. (13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list.) Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Why does Ukraine call for the elimination of those who they deem to be "collaborators". Why target civilians who are not in uniform? How many journalists, bloggers and ordinary citizens has Ukraine eliminated? How many journalists, bloggers and ordinary citizens has Ukraine arrested? How many acts of terrorism has Ukraine committed? Ukraine removed Russian as an official language and placed many restrictions on the Russian language (8 million ethnic Russians lived in Ukraine). Ukraine banned the activities of religious organizations affiliated with the Russian Orthodox churches. The Russian book ban in Ukraine took effect on December 30, 2016, when president poroshenko signed a law that restricted import of books into Ukraine from Russia. Ukraine banned 19 million Russian books. In September 2018 Lviv Oblast Council introduced a ban on the public use of the Russian-language cultural products (movies, books, songs, etc.). The only thing Zelensky succeeded in is destroying his own country by refusing to negotiate. NATO is not a defensive alliance. They illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We must never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Before the nato bombing, Libya had the highest human development index in Africa. Libya had the lowest infant mortality rate, highest GDP per capita and highest life expectancy on the continent. Now the people in Libya are poor, they have limited security and there is a slave trade. The US instigated many coups in recent history? Too many to count. I will list a few. 1893 Hawaii, 1933 Cuba, 1953 Iran, 1954 Guatemala, 1960-1965 Congo, 1961 The Dominican Republic, 1963 South Vietnam, 1964 Brazil, 1973 Chile, 1981-90 Nicaragua etc. The US has been involved in more than 100 wars and rebellions. Too many to name. Iraq and Afghanistan are the ones I wish to mention, because they are recent and everyone knows about it. The US has told many lies? I will just name a few. The gulf of Tonkin incident 1964, Remember the Maine - To Hell With Spain! 1898, WMDs Iraq 2003. I'm stating facts and giving my opinion. You cannot argue against the facts. If you don't agree with my opinion that's fine. But, at the very least accept the facts. I'm not making any of this up. Do your own research if you don't believe me. If you don't know the full context leading up to this conflict , you will never see this situation from both perspectives. It's easy to judge one another, but not easy to understand. This is just the tip of the iceberg, I don't have enough time to state all the facts. This should be enough for you to understand what I'm trying to say.

  67.  @jeffgoldblum4483  Remember the incident last year. I will not use the name of the event due to censorship. I will refer to the event as "incident" and the place as "B". Here are my observations. 1. Why was there no comprehensive and impartial international investigation? Russia requested a UN security council meeting to discuss the incident. The UK rejected that request. Why? A detailed forensic investigation should have been performed immediately after the alleged incident. The bodies must be immediately examined in order to determine the cause of death, estimated time of death etc. 2. Motive? Why would the Russian troops shoot civilians (most had their hands tied) and leave the incriminating evidence behind? It doesn't make sense. 3. 30th March, Russian troops start leaving B, 31st March, Mayor of B announces that the town is "liberated" and doesn't mention the incident. 1st April, Special Forces Regiment SAFARI (azov police squad) begin their hunt for "Russian collaborators". Individuals concerned about their fate began to flee towards Russian lines. They wore white arm bands, indicating that they are not a threat to the Russian troops. Many of them took Russian supplied rations to sustain them on their journey. I don't need to tell you what happens if these individuals get caught by the SAFARI. 3rd April, Ukraine publishes video accusing Russia. Many bodies in the video look "fresh", their clothes aren't dirty, their hands are tied and they are wearing white armbands. Whoever committed this crime done this recently. Why hasn't Ukraine published any data? Who were these people, when did they die, what caused their death etc.? 4. One of the things I noticed about the bodies is that they appear to have been moved from the location where they were killed. Why? 5. If we take into account the weather in B during this time and we know the stages of decomposition we can make an estimate with respect to the time of death. They claim that the bodies laid there for 3 weeks and this claim can be immediately ruled out if we analyze the images and video evidence. It took me a little bit of time to do this analysis and these are my conclusions. There should have been a thorough forensic investigation with regards to this incident. Why wasn't this done? Why did the UK prevent an independent international investigation?

  68.  @jeffgoldblum4483  I wish to mention the Budapest Memorandum because many people mention it. The Budapest Memorandum prohibited the signatories from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan (except in self-defense or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations). In 2013, the government of Belarus complained that the US sanctions against it were in breach of Article 3 of the Memorandum. (Refrain from economic coercion designed to subordinate to their own interest the exercise by the signatory of the rights inherent in its sovereignty and thus to secure advantages of any kind.) Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014. Ukraine protested the action as a violation of Article 1 of the Budapest Memorandum. The Russians responded by saying that the 2014 coup is a change in circumstance ("a new state arises, but with this state and in respect to this state, we have not signed any obligatory documents"). Russia stated that it had never been under obligation to "force any part of Ukraine's civilian population to stay in Ukraine against its will". They claim that the US was in violation of the Budapest Memorandum and described the Euromaidan as a US-instigated coup. Russia argued that the US broke the third point of the agreement by introducing and threatening further sanctions against the democratically elected Yanukovych government. The memorandum was adopted in limited terms. The memorandum refers to assurances, but not guarantees. It does not impose a legal obligation of military assistance on its parties. The US publicly maintains that "the Memorandum is not legally binding", calling it a "political commitment". Hence, people who mention the Budapest Memorandum should complain to the US. The US does not recognize its legality. I wonder why?

  76.  @jeffgoldblum4483  With respect to your "genocide" comment. I have read it and honestly a genocide did not take place. War crimes have been committed, but there was no genocide. Now, this does not mean that there wasn't a treat of genocide. From a Russian perspective that threat was real. Hundreds of thousands of ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were forced to flee during the 8 year civil war. They didn't flee for no reason. I would class those events as "ethnic cleansing", I would not call it a genocide. Again I must reiterate, we cannot know for certain what would happen to ethnic Russians living in Donbas if they were not able to defend themselves. How can we know what would happen to them? Would they be forced to flee, would they be killed? I can only speculate. You stated: "No evidence is ever produced to show that Ukrainian shelling deliberately targeted civilians." There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas. (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). There is video evidence which supports this claim. The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. I wish to mention other instances where Ukraine has deliberately targeted civilians. Countless people have been eliminated via acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) and Denis Kireev (member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations) just to name a few. The terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (unsuspecting civilian victims of terrorism). Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. (Is this acceptable behavior?) (13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list.) Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Is there anything else you wish to discuss? Perhaps you wish to respond to my comment. I have given you my honest opinion.
