  10.  @cherylk.2474  The Ukrainian counteroffensive will be an epic fail. The Ukrainians are walking into a trap. They will celebrate every piece of territory that they take. Once the Ukrainian military is defeated, the Russians will retake the territory.

Russia also wants to liberate the ethnic Russians living in Ukraine who were treated as subhuman and being oppressed. An additional objective is to denazify Ukraine.
