What is the right call he made ? Till last week, Nielsen was saying Ukraine made the right call in Kursk. Now he has realised Ukraine is pinned in Kursk, the Russians will leave them there, and take Donbass, and then come and drive out the Ukrainians from Kursk.

(I even made a meme about it using Baghdad Bob saying the Russians have no plans to invade Ukraine) since it was laughable that this huge build up was going on with no plans. I posted THAT on Feb 11 2022. I think by then it was pretty obvious.' Putin asked for negotiations and a security guarantee for Russia. You should have negotiated and stopped the war from happening in the first place. But you didn't - because you thought Russia was weak, and Ukraine will be able to defeat Russia due to NATO arms and training. Now that you are defeated, and you know Russia cannot be removed and will not allow NATO bases in Ukraine, you are doing soul searching. You thought Russia was bluffing when it said it will not allow NATO expansion into Ukraine. Your experts still say Russia is bluffing on use of nuclear weapons.

Amusing to hear this joker Nielsen asking 'Why did experts fail to predict Russia's invasion of Ukraine?'. He claims he got it right. The reason is western experts did not heed Putin's warning on NATO expansion, and thought that Putin was bluffing. In any case, the west was supreme, Ukraine with NATO weapons and training would defeat Russia, sanctions would make the rouble rubble, the whole world would rally round the west, and there will be an uprising in Moscow. The surprising thing is why Nielsen is posing such a question now. His previous videos were euphoric on how Ukrainians had nailed Russia in Kursk. To raise such a question now is an admission the war is lost for the west, and the soul searching and blame game have started. The EU will say the US abandoned Ukraine; Trump will say it is Europe's problem and the war was due to Biden; the British will say the US and EU did not have the Churchillian resolve of the British. They hate to accept the reality : Russia is more powerful than the collective west, and NATO is a paper tiger. Now Nielsen knows the west has lost. Russia is going to finish off Donbass and move forward to the Dnieper, and then it will chase out the Ukrainians from Kursk. The US will not give the irresponsible British permission to strike Russia with missiles, as Russia has promised it will attack Britain and the US does not want to fight a nuclear war to save anyone else. Instead of asking ''Why did experts fail to predict Russia's invasion of Ukraine?', the question is why did your experts not listen to Russia and accept that NATO expansion was a threat to Russia, and Russia would take action ?

You thought Russia was bluffing when it said it will not allow NATO expansion into Ukraine. Your experts still say Russia is bluffing on its red lines, and will not use of nuclear weapons. But on NATO expansion and build up of troops at the border, you found out Russia was not bluffing. Better you learn and realise Russia will strike Britain or British assets if it lets Ukraine use Storm Shadows inside Russia. Today a British tanker was hit by the Houthis. Either Russia will hit directly or through one of your enemies. There is nothing you can do. You better believe it that Russia will strike with a nuclear weapon if needed.

@yeetman4953 Putin asked those who thought they could defeat Russia to come to the battlefield and show it. No one in the EU had the guts to take up the challenge. Macron talked a lot about sending his Foreign Legion, but some got killed when he sent an experimental set. Now he has disappeared. The Swedes sent some cyber warfare experts, but they were killed in Poltava with a Kinzhal. They have gone quiet. Britain wanted to send Storm Shadows to strike Russia, but Russia said it would strike Britain or British assets, so Biden did not give permission. The collective west of EU + UK + US is defeated as they cannot change the outcome in Ukraine. Get it ? As for NATO, the world saw what cowards they were when they ran away from Kabul.

@maritaschweizer1117 Putin's main goal was no US missile and naval bases in Ukraine. That is achieved. US knows it will have to fight a nuclear war for bases in Ukraine, it is not going to do that. The US is getting ready to drop Ukraine = Putin has won. Get it ?

I do not think so, he has a typical western colonial mindset which believes in innate superiority, the belief that the west sets the rules for others, but can flout any rules when needed. Nielsen is a neocon, the same as Boris Johnson, Blinken, Biden etc... 'He doesn't think NATO expansion should be seen as a threat to Russia.' Whether it is a threat or not is decided by Russian perceptions. He should know that Russia has been the victim of countless invasions, the last one being from Nazi Germany. Soviet casualties were 20 million. Hence, the Russians are paranoid (with good reason) about being attacked. It was highly insensitive of the US to push NATO expansion. Russia does not fear any of the Europeans. They know the Germans, British and the French are yesterday's powers. The British talk big and act Churchillian because of US cover. But the US is the threat. The Russians know NATO is just a cover for the US. The US plan was to have naval and missile bases in Ukraine to shut off Russia from the Black Sea. There is Rand Corp. report which the CIA commissioned on how to contain Russia, and it actively describes methods to stir up anti-Russian sentiments in surrounding countries. 'He doesn't know that it is a threat and may not know the Manroe doctrine.' If he does not know what is Monroe Doctrine, he should not make videos. He knows everything.

With deliberate NATO expansion, the Americans did not keep their word, they lost goodwill with Russia. If Warsaw Pact was dissolved, then NATO should have been dissolved. 'Now we see how wise it was of the Baltics and other sovereign countries to join NATO.' America promised Ukraine for support as long as it takes to win. America is getting read to abandon Ukraine; Trump openly advocates cutting aid to Ukraine, Harris will get a new team who will tell her to off load responsibility for Ukraine to Europe. The Americans will stab Ukraine in the back, as it stabbed Russia. As for the Baltics, if Trump abandons NATO, they will find themselves abandoned and in trouble for their provocative stance against Russia. Small and insignificant nations are better off being quiet and diplomatic, instead of being proxies for big boys. In fact, all the European nations and UK are insignificant. Get it ?

@JABN97 Get real man. Ukraine's sovereignty was conditional on return of nukes and neutrality. Without those two understandings, they would never had got independence. Russia would not have given independence if Ukraine said it was planning to gang up with the US against Russia. Sovereignty does not give you the right to invite a far off superpower, to threaten a neighbouring superpower. Get it ? Ukraine backstabbed Russia by ganging up with US, and therefore it will not exist. Ukraine cannot get back what it lost, the US will walk away from Ukraine as it has done in past conflicts it created, and the Europeans are useless and cannot restore Ukraine. That is real life. There are New York Times articles from 1997 and 1998, which says Lockheed and US arms companies lobbied with US politicians to expand NATO for increasing their export orders. These articles are still available. Look at the situation as a result. Are the European countries more secure after NATO expansion than before ? Europe has 9 million refugees and all major cities are now targets of Russia’s nuclear sword. No European country singly or collectively can fight mighty Russia. And the US will abandon Europe if it faced nuclear extinction. Long ago Kissinger said the US would not fight a nuclear war with the USSR to save Germany and Europe. That position has not changed, you are dumb if you do not understand this. ‘Also Ukraine gave back their nuclear weapons against security guaranties offered by Russia, the US and the UK. Russia broke that in 2014 and again in 2022.’ Ukraine did not give back nuclear weapons against security guaranties offered by Russia. It had to give the nuclear weapons back and agree to neutrality – as CONDITIONS for independence. Get it ? So don’t pretend Ukraine was charitable. The understanding was Ukraine will be neutral and not join any anti-Russian military alliance. If that understanding was not there, why would Russia give independence ? After independence, in 2014, the US instigated a coup that brought Ukro Nazis to power, who wanted to gang up with the US against Russia. Ukraine reneged on its commitments to Russia on neutrality which allowed its independence. The US wanted missile and naval bases to shut out Russia from the Black Sea. Russia has ended any possibility of missile and naval bases for the US. The US now knows there is no possibility. And Ukraine’s sovereignty is terminated, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Biden said in the Vilnius NATO summit in 2023 Ukraine cannot join NATO and there is no road map. Lately, Blinken made statements that Ukraine will join NATO after the war - it is face saving statement to hide defeat. After the war, there will be no more Ukraine to join NATO. If Ukraine had not announced after the US sponsored coup of 2014 it wanted to join NATO, Ukraine would have had the borders of 1991, including Crimea. The day it announced it wanted to join NATO, Putin took back Crimea. And Ukraine lost 4 more oblasts, and is in the process of losing more. Then what evidence is your statement of NATO membership being advantageous, based on ? You are a numskull.
