Victory for the Ukraine is not possible, and the leaders know it. Biden's strategy for Ukraine is to try to prevent it collapsing before elections. If Biden wins, he will delegate Ukraine management to the Europeans, who are useless. He will focus on his next war against China. If Trump wins, that is curtains for Ukraine, he will not even pretend otherwise, and he may also withdraw from NATO. Hence, don't indulge in wishful thinking, the Ukraine war was lost in 2023. Ukraine cannot retrieve Crimea and the four oblasts, and if it persists, it will lose more.

@dpelpal On the one hand Russia cannot beat Ukraine. But on the other hand, Russia has plan to take the whole of Europe. Your type has contradictory narratives. The first argument is a cover up as you cannot accept you are defeated. The second is to use fear to mobilise. At no stage will you ask what you are doing to make enemies all around the world. Russia has ended the US controlled world order. Get it ?

'while denying Ukraine the opportunity for total victory,' There is no opportunity for total victory for Ukraine, there never was. What are you talking about ? If for one moment the US thought there was opportunity for total victory, it would have sent troops. But the US will have to fight Russia, not Iraq. The bear has real WMDs and it will incinerate all US cities. The super quiet Yasen submarines now patrol both US coats 24 h a day, and with hypersonic missiles, there is no reaction time.

@johnk6598 Trump pulled put of Afghanistan. At least he recognised it was a waste of US money. He sees Ukraine the same way. Actually, the US sponsored these wars, it must pay compensation to Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iraq, Vietnam, Palestine....
