  1. She puts on a brave face in a losing situation. The closing remark is 'it is very difficult for Ukranian troops, with heavy losses (on both sides !).' There was nothing upbeat in this report about Ukranian prospects , even by Ukrainian standards. Hence, one has to conclude the Russians will get Bakhmut like Mariopol, and the Ukranians know they are defeated. Only their fervent supporters do not want to believe the outcome. Once the Russians make up their mind, they go for it, whatever the cost. They have the same spirit of the Red Army when it took Berlin. Once the Ukranians were part of that Red Army, and they too have a similar spirit, but they are out numbered. They should know what the Russians are like. Once they fight, they fight hard and will not back down.
