  1. One can see the sheer desperation of the west to stave off defeat. The tanks have become the new Great Hope of the west. A few months ago, it was the Himars. They are forgotten now. A 100 tanks are not going to change the outcome - Russia has 12,000 and they hit Ukraine with many things. The Ukranians do not have basic things like shells. The war is lost or the west. This is the last fling of the die. Russia will defend for a period and beat off the Ukranian offensive, and after that Ukraine will have nothing left. The west cannot afford to continue. The economic situation is dire and there are mass protests in France and strikes in Europe (see DW).

It is all too little, too late. The Ukranians needs artillery shells and the west cannot supply them. So the Ukro Nazis are being massacred in Bakhmut. The war is lost for the west.

  3. ​ @cylentone  Russia has 12,000 tanks. They just need to destroy half the 100, the rest will have maintenance problems. It is like your sort mentioned 18 Himars and some French equipment would change the course of the battle. Nothing will stop Russia.

  4. 'Absolutely great news' leads to unrealistic expectations. It is like your Himars were supposed to be game changers. Zelensky said he will retake Crimea by Dec 2022. Instead, he lost his power grid, and Soeldar, and Russia is massacring Ukranians soldiers in Bakhmut and Adveekva.
