You are pathetic if you are depending on Poland. Which useless European country do you come from to think this ? Europe is a collection of weak states who hate each other and is manipulated by the US. The best security for Europe is to keep the US out and not provoke Russia.

It is not a stalemate, Russia has defeated entire NATO, forced US and EU to cut the funding, and it has changed the global economic order. Stalemate, frozen conflict, negotiated settlement, Ukraine is controlling Black Sea is the latest narrative building to mask the western defeat. The fact is Russia has taken the 5 key industrial oblasts, Ukraine cannot get them back, Ukraine'army is decimated and the west does not have the money and weapons. Russia has now taken Marinka, they have sieged Avdivka and more will fall in 2024.

Ukraine needs you - now ! You boast you have one good fight left in you, why don't you show your bravery in Ukraine instead of promising to show your bravery in Poland ? An American soldier does not have any fight in him - he is basically a coward. We saw how the Americans ran away from Kabul, not even telling their allies. The US is captain of NATO. A captain leaves the sinking ship last, not first ! You do not have the technology either to fight a high tech war. The Russians have shown their prowess in drone and missile warfare. They are number 1. The Russians have destroyed all the US junk like Bradleys and Himars. The Russians will massacre you if you entered Ukraine. That is why in Vilnius Biden meekly surrendered to the Russian demand that Ukraine will not join NATO. In WW 2 as the Red Army set its sight on Berlin after it stormed the German lines in Operation Bagration, Gen. Montogomery with typical British cunning asked Gen. Eisenhower for the western forces to go for Berlin. Gen. Eisenhower declined as he knew the Red Army was a raging bull and would fight with the Americans if they interfered. He did not want the Americans killed by the Red Army. You may be able to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, but not against someone stronger than you like Russia and China. Even in Iraq and Afghanistan, you had to leave without success. Those countries are not in your control. Iraq trades with Iran, so you sanction them, and Afghanistan moves with China and Russia.

@bit4969 Good to hear there are some independent minded Poles. Poles will do exceedingly well economically by being a bridge between Europe and Russia. You can have the best of both worlds. Instead, the Polish leadership has chosen to be America's attack dog - just like Ukraine. Behind this is corruption. The US has used its money power and US-settled Poles to manage Poland's foreign policy. The US ambassador is the son of America's cold war hardliner, Zbigniew Brezhinski. The US is using the same formula as it used with Ukraine. The US does not want Poland to become independent minded like Hungary which is in NATO but puts its national interest above all. It needs to keep the supply line open to Ukraine and it also hopes to induct Polish manpower into Ukraine. It follows that Russia will obviously counter and de-stabilise Poland. You will get a lot of applause from the Americans and British (as you can see her), they will tell you are the most powerful army in Europe, you are the saviour of the west etc. And this will go to many Polish heads till they start believing Poland is a superpower. Just like the Ukrainians thought. You will find if you go under, the people praising you today are only fair weather friends. They will ditch you like they are ditching Ukraine.

First of all, the US itself has proved it does not have the fighting capability. It can fight against weaker people like Iraq and Afghanistan, but there too from the air with no opposition; and even there, the US had to withdraw without success. In Afghanistan, after 20 years the US returned Taliban to power just to get out. And now Iraq trades and moves with Iran, which hates the US for overthrowing the govt. of Mossadegh in 1956 and foisting the Shah on it. The US cannot fight a superior power like Russia or China. That is why the US refused to send troops to Ukraine. It knows the Russians would massacre the Americans, and all hell would break lose in the US when the bodybags come. The US can fight only through a proxy. Even that strategy is failing in Ukraine, Africa, etc. Further, the US does not have the military technology to fight Russia and China. In the last 30 years, you developed technology to fight Afghan wedding parties. You are still at the stage of testing hypersonic missiles - four tests have failed. Russia has them, and soon they will put them in their super quiet Yasen submarines that will patrol both east and west coast 24 h a day. China and Korea have hypersonics. The US's defence industry is corrupt and their aim is to make profit, their aim is not to support a national need. There in lies the difference between Russia (or China) and the US. The Russians can produce and innovate while a national war is ongoing. They are number one now in drone and missile technology, with battle tested performance. You mock the 'pompus, woke, little tin pot, soyboy European militaries' - as if you are different ! That description fits you too. You are afraid to fight Russia and China. So don't put on airs and pretend the US is something exceptional. That was 70 years ago.

That is the price Ukraine has to pay for backstabbing Russia by trying to get into NATO and use Americans to threaten Russia. Russia gave Ukraine independence in all good faith, even giving away Russian lands, but Ukraine misbehaved and so should no longer exist. Ukranians should all vacate and go and live with their 'partners' in America and Europe.

Seeing which the US and EU govts. are unwilling to give more money - which spells the end of Ukraine in 2024. Russia is seen as a hero outside the west. You are defeated and you are seeking comfort with illusory gains. You should be ashamed of yourself.

@PfcFloyd It is not stalemate. The west is defeated and that is the new face saving narrative. Ukraine does not have the manpower, and the west does not have the money nor the equipment, and hence in 2024, Russia is in a very good position to push ahead. Stalemate will be very bad for Ukraine. It is better it is brought to unconditional surrender, so that it can be rebuilt.
