  1. High energy + high labour costs is killing Germany. Germany's mistake was not reliance on Russian gas, but its reliance on US defence and membership of NATO. This is glossed over.

  4.  @donhuang9855  That is in the past. Germany does not have a pragmatic government that serves the people of Germany, it serves that of the Americans. Hence, no more cheap Russian gas. I have met Germans and when I ask them, who blew up Nordstream, they stare blankly, and look at each other. They dare not point at the Americans. Germany has committed economic suicide to please the Americans. It is buying LNG from the US for 4x the price. Volkswagen is closing some factories and there will be job lay offs. And BASF had to close some plants and shift to China and US.
