Ukraine's politics of Russophobia and reliance on the US to fight a war against Russia was bound to be disastrous. Logistics and supply lines are the most important in a war. Ukraine's supply line extends across the Atlantic. It was never going to be sustainable.

There is no actual mechanism for what to do if one NATO nation is attacked. NATO will call a meeting after weeks to discuss, some will agree to send forces, some may not, and it all depends on whether the US is willing to fight. Kissinger said long ago that the US is not prepared to fight a nuclear war with the Soviet Union to save Germany. That is the current position also. The US is not going to fight a nuclear war with Russia to save Poland or Lithuania or Germany. It should be the look out of these countries not to misbehave with Russia. Stoltenberg did not answer the question whether Trump or Putin Is the 'Main Motivator' for increased spending. He is an empty shell. The US runs NATO for its own benefit but it selects such useful fools from irrelevant Scandinavian countries to head NATO. The next Sec. Gen. will be an Estonian or Lithuanian.

The German govt. said it will build a tank factory in Ukraine to enable it to resist Russian aggression ! It can be blown up any time Russia chooses. The talk about Ukranian membership is in similar vein. Not serious as it is not feasible.

Putin said Poland is Stalin's gift. If it had been left to Germany, there would be no Poland. And if Poland had been waiting for the Brits to liberate them, they would have been waiting a long time. Only the Red Army could liberate Poland. The Soviet Union gave Poland a piece of land with the present borders. Some of it was taken from Germany. If Poland misbehaves, it will be taught a lesson.

Well, I guess that publicly they cannot say Ukraine will not win. They will be fired. What does winning look like ? According to one former cheerleader writing in Politico, we need to reimagine victory ! We can say we could not get Ukraine into NATO, but we defeated Putin because we got Finland and Sweden into NATO.

So this American fellow is trying to explain the resignations/sacking as example of a normal functioning of democracy ! Ukraine's govt. came to power in 2014 by overthrowing the elected govt.., under US instigation and financing. Zelensky himself suspended elections. Opposition parties are closed, so is free media, Russian Orthodox Church has been closed. The sacking of the air force chief for just a downed F16 also would not happen in a normal democracy. Ukraine was after the Kursk nuclear power plant. But they could not get near it. Why does Forbes interview such jokers ?

@andreymudik2905 At that time, US had native production, now it is all out sourced. At that time, maybe the US military industrial complex was more under govt. control, now it is a partnership between govt. and shareholders to gouge the US taxpayers to pay for wars for profit.

@ryancruz1876 The west is defeated, the talk about Ukraine being part of EU and NATO is a cover up for the embarrassment. If you cannot reclaim the 4 oblasts and Crimea which are now part of Russia, then saying it will be in EU and NATO is like saying Russia will be part of EU and NATO .

It killed off much of the Nazi Azov batallion in Mariopol and thousands were captured and are in Siberia. It ran the west out of weapons. To demilitarise Ukraine was a strategic objective. Russia is starting to empty the west of weapons as well.

@EViL3666 And you forgot to analyse the downfall of the west. The west has broken itself, its sanctions policy or using the dollar as a weapon not only did not work, it triggered de-dollarisation. The west has lost much of its industrial production capacity to China, India and others. Russia retained its industrial capacity. The west was relying on control of the financial system. But that is slipping away as other companies become wary of the dollar and US blackmail. You lose the last remaining asset - the financial system. The west has also shot itself in the foot by bringing Russia and China together to form a gigantic Eurasian economy with military power that surpasses the US. The two together are too formidable for the US. The rest of the world will go with Russia and China - Africa, Asia, Latin America. Russia superpower status is enhanced in the rest of the world - the others see it as the only power that could throw of US sanctions, prevent NATO expansion in Ukraine and hold the nuclear sword over the west. You have been defeated and you are trying to console yourself.

Blinken says the presence of his forces in Iraq and Syria has nothing to do with Gaza. Such a response shows Blinken's dim mind. He lives with alternative reality. Iraq, Syria, Gaza, are all part of the same region called the Islamic world, and they are fighting a western imposition called Israel. Just as western nations form a coalition to attack others, the people they target also form a coalition to attack their invaders. That will always be how it is. Similar American duplicity led to the Ukraine war. The Americans say that Russia's attack on Ukraine has nothing to do with NATO expansion. Again, alternative reality. Anyhow, America is defeated and there will be no future expansion of NATO to Ukraine. There will be a similar outcome in the Middle East. It will be prolonged and the war will sap America and its cohorts.

What Ramasamy is talking about is also how to maintain US hegemony - by other means. He believes in US exceptionalism but he feels other Americans are not doing it the correct way. While realism sounds all very good, it is all too late for America. US dominance is based on controlling the financial institutions backed with military power. The US has been printing dollars and using its military to invade other countries to extract their resources. As Putin said in a speech, the US extracts a tribute from other countries through the dollar. Is Ramasamy going to give all that up ? Spending 61% of Allied defence needs was no problem for the US because it could print dollars. Semi-conductor independence is not going to return to the US. The US cannot have low cost production anymore, that is why US capitalists moved to China. They are driven solely by profit and not by national interest. Nixonian realism led to China becoming an economic and military superpower - that over took the US ! Now it is too late. Going to Russia to replicate Nixon's model will only create two economic and military superpowers. Both China and Russia have decided to push de-dollarisation, and this is needed absolutely to end US hegemony. Both know Ramsamy is just another American hegemonist in another form. He goes along with making China an enemy after all the Nixonian overtures that he praises, and hopes China can be countered by allying with Russia. Ramasamy has imbibed the usual American wickedness while signalling virtue.

Neither side has the ability to win ? I thought Zelensky is coming to the US with a victory plan. As for reconstruction of Ukraine, the west held three conferences. All useless. This joker mentions a Marshall plan for Ukraine - as if the Russians will allow the Americans to set it up. There will be nothing possible in Ukraine without Russian permission.

Russia agreed to a peace deal, and Ukraine also agreed 3 months into the war. Then Ukraine chose to obey Boris Johnson and decided to fight, then if it is lost 25%, that is tough. It is in the process of losing more, and Russia sees no point in negotiating.

@robbhill5612 They never said taking Ukrainian land is their aim. They said their aim is to prevent US bases in Ukraine and to demilitarise and deNazify Ukraine. The US knows that Russia will not allow bases in Ukraine, it is ready to fight a nuclear war. They have killed of much of Ukraine's professional army in 2023. A lot of the Nazi Azov Batallion was killed off in Maripol, many thousands were captured and serving hard labou r in Siberia. So overall, Russia has done a very good job countering 50 countries, and now it has the upper hand.

When 18 Americans were killed and 3 Black Hawks downed in Somalia, the Americans ran away. The Americans had gone to Somalia to help US oil company Conco seize Somalia off shore oil. There was a massive bombing of an American base in Lebanon. The Americans withdrew. It withdrew from Afghanistan after 20 years, replacing Taliban with Taliban. The prospect of fighting Iran is daunting. America's state Israel will get peppered. Blinken the Jew knows that. America is a rotten nation whose military industrial complex runs wars for profit. Britain and EU are vassal states, so they get sucked into the conflicts and reap the consequences. These vassals do not have independent thinking capacity.

@metalrules1135 But you realise America is the one who started the conflict in Ukraine - not Trump - but previous Administrations by creating a coup in Ukraine in 2014 and implanting a Ukro Nazi govt. in Kiev in 2014. While Trump-Vance are not responsible for Project Ukraine that failed, but America is responsible. In the case of Ukraine, Trump-Vance will not be war mongering. But in Israel-Palestine, Trump will back Israeli aggression because he is under the thumb of the Jewish lobby. He may cut one war, but he will continue and flare the Mid East war.

@audrunasgruslys9243 Ukraine got independence on the condition it returned the nukes. The US wants non-proliferation, so what you suggest is not going to happen. If those countries tried to get those weapons with the intention to threaten Russia, Russia will be forced to eliminate those countries immediately. So don't push your luck.
