  2.  @barrycarter8276  Fission is perfectly viable, unless you believe the Russian funded Green fear mongering. Correct fusion is pure fantasy. Oil and gas running out is a myth. If we never discover another reserve then all the West has to do if anything starts to run out is topple Venezuela's crackpot dictatorship and hey presto another five or so decades of consumption is available. Nothing that a bit of American colonialism can't cure. Wind turbines and solar panels are unreliable sources of power for base load, batteries don't exist and in most parts of the world their lifetime output will never equal the Chinese coal powered inputs required to manufacture them. They're pure ideological BS. Burn coal from the West in the West.

  5.  @emceeboogieboots1608  Surely gas power plants are bad too. They emit CO2. Why are they building more? Isn't solar and wind enough? Australia must be ideal for solar. Something doesn't add up.
