I fear that the religious problems in Europe will lead to civil/religious war eventually. History tells us that Europeans are extremely tolerant, until they're not. It won't end well.

Personally I think that they passed the point of no return about two decades ago. Then the murder rate was so high that the government decided to stop collecting crime statistics because it would negatively impact tourism. Nuf said.

Spot on. Real wages have been steadily falling since when the Baby Boomers entered the workforce coupled with women entering the workforce en masse, this is the long awaited reversal back to sustainable levels. I suspect that this will improve birth rates somewhat in America and Canada, probably to just above replacement level eventually aided by immigration , but getting back to decent demographics will he a bumpy ride and will also require government intervention. All of Europe, Japan, Korea and Taiwan need to get their finger out and reduce energy costs in addition to combat their demographic decline however. The only solution to there is to go all in on nuclear. That's the reason that France has healthier demographics than the rest of Europe. Energy is the economy and today people don't have children if they struggle financially. BTW debt will have to be inflated away or worse defaulted on. Being very generous, a Debt to GDP ratio of over 120% is unsustainable, even 100% is super worrying. Politicians have been selfish fools first destroying demographics and then getting us into wartime levels of debt. We have weakened ourselves and our enemies will exploit this.

Frozen bank accounts would certainly be very interesting. I doubt that will happen, but I didn't think that it could first time round. I wonder what would happen if government employees then went on strike? 🤯
