  1. Because lack of manufacturing is a security issue. The USA is actually a great place to manufacture, apart from high wages, as it is business friendly, raw materials are relatively cheap as is transport and most importantly energy is extremely cheap. Automation will solve some labour problems.

  4. Yes, but it's more about the cost of the debt than the quantity of debt. Inflation is guaranteed, which will reduce the debt, but I suspect that will happen after a short sharp deflationary event probably sometime this year (IMHO)

  5. SE Asia has a very bright future if they can secure enough energy IMHO.
