Agriculture has been hammered here in the UK for decades, but if necessary I'm pretty confident that we could be virtually self sufficient. Everything would cost more and some things would be unaffordable, like avocados and soft fruit out of season, but that's ok. We still have open sea lanes and can keep most open because we have the Royal Navy. The US will be virtually unaffected. The rest of Europe will cope, as will most of South America and Asia. The Middle East and a lot of Africa could someday be screwed, but maybe then they wouldn't support those who are actively trying to tear the system down (I'm looking at you Yemen, who relies on food aid from the UN) - it's a choice. We are not responsible for them and never have been, we've just become too soft. We have to get really tough and prioritise ourselves. All the best and remember - fear sells.

A huge discovery in Norway too? I can't quite recall.

Hydrogen is too difficult to store or transport. It's physics and impossible to solve. Move on - we already have a solution. Diesel is great.

@JayPhelps-vt5qy I actually like the seasonality of food. Nothing like pork roast with apple sauce to warm you up in the winter. 👍👍
