Year on year we keep saying 'At this stage, they don't even care anymore'. I'm actually surprised they even bother turning up to Parliament.

@zacmumblethunder7466 That's true. But Patel refused to turn up for meetings with the home affair's committee when she didn't fancy it, and of course got sacked for arranging and attending meetings with rogue states without the approval of her party or parliament. We could sit here and get humorous about all of this, but they're actually severely damaging what was an apparent democracy.

@tobylerone4285 Would you want to turn up for the Tory wannabe Starmer conversing with you, let alone asking questions? Listening to Miliband actually made me long for those days, instead of the monotonal corner shop solicitor talking me to sleep.

@django3422 you say they should but Patel would refuse to appear before the home affair's committee, whilst this new tax cutting plan also hasn't been given the opportunity to be discussed in parliament. that on top of them also refusing to release the economic forecast for the country in the same week. At this stage, they feel they can do whatever they like.

@zacmumblethunder7466 To us it might seem inappropriate, obscene or unprofessional, but these people are entitled. If you grow up like a Boris or Rees Mogg, life of plenty and liberally being allowed to act however you see fit seems completely normal. They most certainly feel they deserve all of these over the top privileges, raise in pay etc. After all, they're not there to stand up and represent those using food banks or the homeless. You already know this, but why do you think almost all of these so called MP's retire as rich multi millionaires?
