  1. Just imagine the number of cruise ships that will pass through that beautiful area of natural scenery and then think back of what impact not having cruises around had on Venice during Covid. Engineering-wise, this would obviously be an astonishing achievement. But it is difficult to see how it won't have a detrimental effect on the wildlife as well as the water quality of that area. Not to mention waste both into the water, fuel consumption as well as noise pollution.
