  1. no, i think the worst kind is the one who put you up for adoption or neglect you. At the least the controlling ones tend to provide you with a roof over your head, food and education etc.

  2.  @artorhen  Still better than spending your childhood in social care system. Once an adult, you can always leave if you don't feel like its your home.

  3.  @artorhen  I'm not in the USA. I'm in the UK. Social care and or temporary homes is absolutely not the best place for a child, unless it is absolutely necessary. Different scenario if there is history of abuse and or neglect.
