  1. There are 435,973 cars listed on auto trader, of which 222, 837 are automatics. That means well in excess of 51% of cars on sale in the UK are automatics. So I have no idea how you can say that automatics are 'rare'. And even if you then say you want an automatic that runs on petrol, the number available is still more than pure diesel cars. I don't know why people try and present fake numbers just to suit their own narrative.
