Liverpool have had injuries, but it hasn't been as bad as they're making it out. Here in Italy, my team Milan literally haven't had a full squad the entire season. Ibra was out, Rebic was and has been injured, we had covid issues with Ibra, Calhanoglu and Krunic. Then Tonali has been injured. Bennacer has spent most of the season injured. Kjaer has spent quite a bit of time out. On Sunday, we had kjaer, Theo, Bennacer, Tonali, Rebic, Calhanoglu and Ibra all out. Also another centre back still returning from time out. But the team continues to fight. Liverpool have had Salah, mane and Firmino available all season. Keeper has been there, Robertson and Arnold have been there - lots of integral players. How can a club just fall apart because of a couple of centre backs being out? They've gone and bought to cover them.

Can SKY and BT stop with ex players, co-commentating on their former teams, please?? Once seemingly soundly beaten, Smith starts listing excuses as to Arsenal's failing. 'small squad', 'young squad', 'stretched to the limit' bla bla. Spent £160m this summer, sent out Saliba on loan whilst paying £50m+ for white, and had the £70m+ Pepe sat on the bench.🤣
And no, it wasn't that Arsenal 'didn't get going'. Newcastle came out of the block hungry, sharp and doing everything for the cause. Fact is that the Arsenal players just couldn't stomach the fight. They probably thought Newcastle's players were already thinking of the beach, and that it would be 3 easy points.

@Muurat06 No one compared Ibra to the players you listed. That is literally just you providing information that no one asked for.
Unlike Del Piero, Maldini, Zanetti, Totti and up to a large extent raul, Ibra has succeeded and won across more leagues and countries than all of them combined. The man excelled in Netherlands, France, England, Italy and also scored many goals in Spain too. To YOU he might not be a so called 'club legend', but what he has given to Milan most definitely marks him down as one of the absolute greats to play for the club.
Ibra was a lifelong Inter fan. The biggest offer for him to Juventus happened to have also come from Inter. Inter fans might be short sighted, but he effectively helped to not only win their first title in nearly 20 years, but was part of the groundworks set that allowed Inter to win the champions league. His contributions to Juventus, Milan and inter cannot be doubted. To them talk of 'bias' nonsense is nothing short of comical hypocrisy.
Neither Camoranesi or Trezeguet had the stock of Ibra in 2006. Trezeguet had just come off a woeful World Cup, whilst the likes of del Piero and Nedved were long time servants of the club. Players who wouldn't have had the sell on value that Ibra did, and who also were paid handsomely despite taking a step down to Serie B. Ibra is neither Italian or a lifelong Juventus fan.Where a player chooses to play is entirely their choice.
By the same pathetic take, we could also discount the legacy of players like Pirlo and Baggio because they all also represented rival clubs. But the reality is that they're legends in their own right, as different factors come into play when it comes to transfers. IF Juventus hadn't cheated (poignant to say this at this moment), Ibra wouldn't have left Juventus. It isn't his fault that the floor from under him was moved by the triad.

It is more a reflection on the FA and their small country mentality that they've not sacked him. 3 tournaments, and England have never ever looked like beating a top side. Outclassed by Belgium twice, beaten by Croatia, taken to pens by a mediocre Colombia, beat Denmark thanks to a dive, spent 117 minutes parking the bus vs Italy, beaten by 5th choice Italy 11 in nations league, relegated from nations league without a win in six, should've lost to the USA in this tournament, couldn't take a lead vs France, and got knocked out by the 1st sign of credible opposition...AGAIN.

England fans never change. When they don't win, they either blame the players or talk down the relevance of the fixture etc. But if they score a couple of goals vs San Marino, then the fans and so called expert pundits in the media brand the entire team 'world class'. Whining and whinging is nothing new. Be grateful that you won't have to face Italy's 3rd choice eleven at the World Cup 😂 No Mancini, bastoni, Calabria, tonali, Locatelli, verratti, zaniolo, pellegrini, immobile, Berardi, chiesa or Politano. You were beaten fair and square. Just because your players are overhyped and overpaid doesn't make them automatically top class. Realism might do you some good, but don't pretend to just support your team when they're winning. Pay some respect to the opposition and their effort, rather than the obscenely arrogant thought that you lost because you didn't play well. Cristante for one - a just above average midfielder showed what ability is vs your so called £100m plus valued midfielders and attackers. Three opportunities vs Italy in just over a year with one of the matches even including players from serie B, and never ever looked like winning.

@megamind8359 We never got the opportunity to fully understand the concept / proposal. At no stage in the history of humanity has a creation or invention has always been pitch perfect from the start. Any idea, invention, concept or ideology develops. The premier league is only 30 years old. The champions league evolved from the European cup. Football even 60 years ago was very different to that of today. There was a time that even wearing colours was considered against the rules. We've had the development of offside, VAR, federation creation, world cups, continental competitions etc etc. They didn't just spring up by magic. Every concept evolves. We never got to find out what will it look like post its formation. Will there be a second league, promotion or relegation....nothing. We just had sky (the biggest profiteering organisation since the conception of the champions league) crying because they know if a new league forms, they have to enter into a bidding war to televise it.
I was neither for or against. I wanted to learn more. For 30 years, people complain about corruption, rising in ticket prices, racism, clubs being bought by conmen, clubs being bought with hundreds of millions in loans etc. Well now, they can stick with the status quo. The whole outcry has stank of double standard, hypocrisy and a regression in common sensical thought.

We didn't have Bastoni, Mancini, Verratti, Tonali, Pellegrini, Locatelli, Pessina, Politano, Berardi, Zaniolo, Immobile, and yet we should've won it by at least 2 goals. Probably the easiest game Acerbi, Toloi and Bonucci will play in their whole life. Aw and Bellingham should changing his name to Falling-Over-Ham. Spent the entire first half falling over.

Germany, Italy, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Portugal, Brazil, Portugal, Portugal, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Italy, Uruguay, ICELAND, Croatia, Italy and now France.
England do not have the balls to go that extra mile vs top teams! In every major tournament in my lifetime, they go into their shell when they need to rise up and be counted. Just can't do it. You win tournaments when it comes to those 50/50 matchups. You then need the team to step up and individuals be counted. England just don't have the balls for it.

@joshcoyne2983 I've been to Old trafford 4 times. First time in 2003 for the final vs Juventus, 2nd when we won 1-0 thru crespo, 3rd when we lost 3-2 and then most recently last season when the game shamefully finished 1-1. I've been to Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Czech republic, St. Petersburg and even the Dubai to watch Milan. In my entire life, Old trafford is THE WORST football stadium I've ever been too. Absolutely awful fans, terrible atmosphere, full of superficial football fans, and just completely lacking in identity. I got stuck on a bus when needing to head back to the London airport and the train was broken down. Me and my cousins got into the same bus as man utd fans. They were all Irish hahaha. Plastic.

Taking sides? I'm from Italy and my club is everything to me, so maybe I have a different mentality. I don't care if a giraffe is managing my club and the starting 11 is made up of 11 Panda's. The main thing is the club doing well on the pitch. Who plays for us, who managers us, who doesn't play for us and who doesn't manage us are the least of my concerns. Of course, integrity and ethics comes first. I'm not saying I want bad people at the club. But ultimately, it is about the team being successful. Sentimentality achieved nothing. Lampard was a great player for Chelsea, but everyone could see he isn't a top manager. I'm not saying Tuchel will succeed at Chelsea. When all is said and done, 99.99% of managers get sacked. But true fans get behind their club. Roman has changed managers, but he has also brought Chelsea unprecedented success. I remember going on holiday to London, when aged players from Serie A were at Chelsea. Players like Zola, Vialli and Gullit. Never did I think they'd go on to win so many trophies as a club and be where they are now. There is time for criticism. Nobody is perfect. But Lampard is the past now.

@christopherhoy8705 My point is that liverpool have won one league title in 30 years and still able to spent 600m euro under klopp? the money is not thru achievements, but purely due to the league they compete within. even before klopp, they were throwing tens of millions at players, in hope of success. PSG would be able to do the same and even more given their financial power. This is already a club that has beaten english teams, reached a champ league final and has some of the best footballers on the planet playing for them.
Lille of last season were a fantastic team. I can't compare them to leicester - ffs one of our worst managers here in italy won a prem title with leicester. Football isn't a computer game. there will be ups and downs. Can't win every season.
As it stands, PSG have one of the world's best keepers, quality throughout central defence and full back, abundance of talent in midfield, one of the world's best young players in attack. And add to that, now they have messi, who has god knows how many goals vs english teams.
