  2.  @GoGetYourShinebox  He still scored 15+ goals whilst on loan at Spurs. I think the issue is a mix of fitness and motivation. Just sad how his career is petering out.

  4. @Tom Kelleher The perception on the part of the media probably hasn't been helped by the fact that Bale lacks charisma. I think if he was more opinionated and maybe more direct with the fans, he wouldn't be judged negatively. Too often he seemed to say nothing or hide behind his agent. There is ZERO doubt regarding Bale's quality. In my opinion, he is the greatest player Britain has ever produced. It is just sad that at 32, he is going off to the USA or going to teams just to keep fit for a World Cup. I would've thought his career would have a better ending at club level.
