The gap between 1st and 3rd was 19 points. The gap between 1st and 4th was 22 points. The gap between 1st and Man Utd was 35 points!!! Tuchel is wrong. What he meant to say is that the tussle for top 5 will potentially be more competitive. But Man City and Liverpool will have to drop their levels catastrophically for the likes of Chelsea, spurs and Man Utd to be true challengers for the title.

@chebochitalu6543 But they were not good enough to challenge, and if it had gone a couple of more games, they risked even losing 3rd. Even a 12 point gap is too much. You're basically relying on the team above to magically lose 4 games, for you to win 4 games and even then you're only on the same number of points. You're telling me that man utd will bridge a 35 point gap enough to be realistic challengers in ONE season?

@chebochitalu6543 Liverpool and City are in a league of their own. Not only in terms of quality but also strength in depth. And they'll only add to that. Chelsea have no excuse not being able to compete but they're still one of the best teams in europe. I'm saying that the title will not be a five way tussle. If spurs continue to improve and invest, then conte can realistically challenge the season after.
