The last time you could say he 'wasn't back' was 19/20 season, but that was after a window in which liverpool spent in excess of £180m. And they had spent in excess of £170m in the season before that. Since 16/17 season, Liverpool have spent £754.5m on transfers. That's on average £107m per season.
