  1. Bene in Italian means good 😃 BeneLeague - good league. This is all about money. The league should be worth in the region of 350m Euro which is quadruple their respective individual values currently. Since Ajax won the champions league in the mid 90's, Dutch clubs just cannot compete vs the top 5 leagues. Whenever a decent-sh player is produced, they're almost immediately pinched by clubs who can afford more in wages. Certainly a step forward for Belgian clubs as they've not been competitive for decades. It will take a long while for the competition to balance itself out. I don't expect a Belgian winner of the combined league for many years.
