After having the misfortune of seeing him way too many times at Milan, I cannot fathom why any team would pay £3.4m let alone £34m for Paqueta'. Paqueta' is more suited to futsal or 5 a side. When it comes to the modern game, you need dynamic midfielders and he is anything but mobile or dynamic. He has a habit of doing a skill and then just stands still as if you get points for doing skills. But the time he moves his cumbersome and slow feet, the opposition would've caught up with him and taken the ball. Paqueta' might be a success in a midfield when he is allowed to roam without any tactical, positional or defensive responsibilities. Seeing West Ham sitting back and playing on counter - literally the worst system for Paqueta'. Horrible waste of money.

@beatonthedonis47 Lyon finished 8th in Ligue 1 last season, and his stats were not near the top neither for goals or assists. wait and see.

@beatonthedonis47 Anderson was not a good player either. Lacked mentality. He had a bit of an Indian summer at Lazio for a brief period and then stagnated. Haller - the way Moyes is playing scamacca is setting him up for failure too. Vlasic - I thought his attributes would have him fit in well at West Ham - athletic and decent. I'm sure he'll recover under Juric at Torino. I've been watching football and footballers since I was 6 in san siro. I've seen great ones, and I've also seen some terrible ones. Paqueta' is not going to match the needs of West Ham or the rigours of the premier league. But I do like West Ham and I hope I'm wrong.
