Throughout his time here in Italy and also when seeing him consistently get picked for France by Deschamps, I'm 100% convinced that Rabiot has powerful friends in high places. Deschamps even preferred to play him at left back in the Euro instead of picking Theo Hernandez. What Man Utd fans have to realise is that Rabiot is literally a vanilla footballer. He is good at nothing. He isn't a defensive midfielder, he isn't a dribbler, he isn't one who provides assists and nor does he score goals. I have absolutely no idea how he keeps getting games, when he literally spends most of the matches just running around. If you want someone to join and just spend all game running around without doing much, then he's your man.
