I understand it's Lampard. I also understand we're talking about an English manager and how as yet, no English manager has ever won the premier league. But the skewed nature that is how the media support and attack different managers is nothing short of a joke. Lampard has had ample time to at least stamp his ideas on the Chelsea team. The BBC have written a 2K plus words article on their website and not a single mention of how Lampard has the worst record of any Chelsea manager during the roman era. I also never heard a single outlet mention how Lampard's Chelsea last season conceded 67 goals across all competitions. Such treatment all the more bizarre when the likes of Arteta and Solskjaer have pretty much been attacked on a weekly basis whenever they've had a reverse of any sort. I don't want to talk about money spent. Chelsea always spend money. But last season in what was a very very mediocre season in terms of overall competition across the division, he couldn't even finish above Man Utd, who had to go on a really good run just to get into the top 4. Tactically, Lampard has never looked like he belongs at this level. Maybe, maybe he will in the future with more experience. I also understand that he couldn't possibly turn down the chance to manage Chelsea. That squad needs to be higher up the table. Simple as that.
