And no appreciation for Pep for pushing up the bar higher and higher?

@TheFinishedArticle how? Klopp has spent nearly 800m since joining liverpool. Before pep, Man City were winning but nowhere near as dominant. At least domestically anyway. If it was just money, then Man united would be spanking everyone.
48
Man city have trampled on man utd so much, neville now supports Liverpool.
18
@xlsavage7383 Man City's wage bill is just short of £160m a season. Liverpool's is over £170m
9
@nishidkhode8604 Regardless of what has been sold, he has been able to spend how much ever he wants. this isn't the case of the pleb challenging royalty. Man City's wage bill is over £10m less than that of liverpool.
8
@michaelearwaker6521 WRONG. City's wage bill is just shy of £160m. Liverpool is £171m.
6
@gorandamianovici5720 huh?
2
@jimmysee8971 It isn't always the case that selling players automatically means you can spend whatever has been made from sales. klopp has done a brilliant job. but £820m spent just on transfer fees is no pauper manager.
2
@nishidkhode8604 ffs with add on, 'Gini' cost liverpool nearly £28m. How am I biased? I'm saying Klopp is a brilliant manager. A top class manager. what I'm saying is that just like all successful managers, he has spent a lot of money. how is that biased?
2
@michaelearwaker6521 go back on transfermarkt and add up Liverpool's spent for each season klopp has been at liverpool. The total cost from 2015 season is just shy of £820m.
2
@madtrendzg3954 head start? Two months before klopp arrived, Liverpool spent nearly 140m on the transfer market! The entire last decade Liverpool made expensive buys! The season before, they spent 53m! The season before that they spent 64m! 11/12 season, Liverpool spent 60m. 10/11 season, Liverpool spent 88m!
2
@michaelearwaker6521 go back up those these comments and you'll find the numbers!
2
@joejohnson9334 the wages are this season's offs! This season! You continue want to believe something that just isn't true! Why is it difficult to accept that you are a healthy and rich club? Why is that a bad thing?
2
@kurze3215 what's wrong with oil money? I'd much rather make money from a tangible resource than hedge funds and ponzie schemes that end up in financial ruin! More biased nonsense
2
@nhantruong5720 I always mentioned how much he spent! Its not like he's in the black when it comes to net spending either!
2
@madtrendzg3954 selling players doesn't automatically mean a manager is able to spend the income! Even two months before he arrived, Liverpool spent 170m on the transfer market!
2
@ryse12321 how can it be all from selling players who he has spend as you said over 300m more than he has made from sales! Where did that money come from? Charitable donations?
2
@madtrendzg3954 and the superior wage bill? So he has spent 800m and the current wage bill is ten million more than city! So if they were incomparable, surely Liverpool wouldn't be paying the high wages
2
@ryse12321 please go on transfermarkt and look up the amount Liverpool have spent since 14/15 season!
2
@madtrendzg3954 I'm not avoiding anytthing! I stated actual spend and also the wage bill! you're the one trying to qualify it and spin it with this and that to make out klopp is managing a pauper club on shoestring budget
2
@arogyalohani I never spoke about net spend! Are you mad?? Klopp joined Liverpool in October 2015! Add up that season' spend along with all of the spending since and see what number you get to! I've literally stated it in my response back up in the thread!
2
@michaelearwaker6521 this season - £77m. last season - £75m. season before - £10m. season before that - £164m. season before that - £165m. season before that - £72m. season before that - £115. And 2 months prior to his arrival, liverpool spent £140m. that is just short of £820m
1
@stickybunnn actually just short of £820m.
1
@joejohnson9334 I don't understand your comment at all. what are you on about?
1
@Umar-rd7lw what do you think Chelsea was? Roman was a self made man selling pots and pans? he made all his money from cheaply franchised STATE resources.
1
@Umar-rd7lw From when he took over until Ferguson retired, it generally was Man Utd vs Chelsea for nearly a decade. Roman's wealth were thru state funds, and corruption. that's why he's a convicted criminal.
1
@Umar-rd7lw what do you mean 'come back to you'? Judging by your name, you are an armchair fanatic who sits on their arse talking about 'facts' as if you are the owner of the footballing holy grail? You've just stated 'technically you're right' and then you're asking me to correct more of your rambling?
1
@Umar-rd7lw In terms of genuine finance challenge prior to Roman and Chelsea, it was only from jack walker for all but a short period. Arsenal even under Wenger didn't have the means to challenge Man Utd.
