I feel very sorry for the fans. They're the ones who are always left to pick up the pieces of mismanagement. Derby is an example of when going for broke to reach the promise land and failing. The nugget that is the premier league has seen quite a few clubs overspend with the hope of getting promoted. All it needed was additional unknown risks to come into the equation to push things over the edge.
