A lot of people profit from division. For as long as there is profiteering from division, racism, sexism, homophobia and all other forms of discrimination will exist.

@ozy7777 100%. I enrolled in an English school for a year and half whilst my parents were doing medical research. A 14 year old kid in my class turns to me and goes 'I'm dreaming of a white Britain, like the one I used to know'. How does a 14 year old come up with such poison, if he/she isn't influenced by those around him?

Oversees country, my ass. Just last week a fan filmed himself throwing sectarian abuse at a villa player at the Chelsea game. For years and years and years, McClean has been receiving sectarian abuse at umpteenth English grounds across the country. Within moments of three black players missing penalties for England, multiple WHITE cockney and northern English accented cretins filmed themselves racially abusing players. This was followed up by multiple uk based accounts on twitter, instagram etc racially abusing the English black players. This is exactly the problem. Apologists and those in denial like you. Looking to brush the issue under the carpet and blame outsiders. Explain this. Black graduates in London are 6 times less likely to land a graduate job than their none black counterparts. Is that the fault of people abroad as well??

Lukaku is the biggest turncoat in the history of football. What comes out of his mouth is worthless. He only cares about himself and what lines his pocket. On a more important note - these issues will only be corrected if we apply a zero tolerance attitude. Verify all accounts and if a person is found to be homophobic, racist, sexist or sectarian in a football ground, ban them for life. Simple as.

Cian MacGana I very much care about sectarian issues. My mum is English with Irish relatives and my dad Italian. Sectarian abuse is poison and has no place inside of a football ground.
2
Cian MacGana So? It was still inside of an English football ground. Hardly 'oversees' is it? Clutching at straws.
2
@Vase of Flowers For goodness sake, your fans booed every single nation anthem. The racist abuse received by the black players was just the culmination of what we'd already seen during all of the England games on the part of the backward fans. we've seen uk based people appearing in court for online racist abuse towards black players etc. Just keep denying it exists like a pathetic apologist. It won't make it go away.

Cian MacGana It means I come from a mixed background with family in England, Wales, Italy and Ireland. You want me to not be disgusted with players and people being on the end of sectarian abuse?? As a person who grew up in Italy and enrolled in an English school at 14, I suffered horrific abuse from kids simply because I was different. Dark eyes and a bit of a tan and having to listen to a 14 year old fellow classmate singing 'I'm dreaming of a white Britain, like the one I used to know'. And you expect me to not be disgusted with sectarian abuse, and all forms of abuse?
2
Cian MacGana I went to a comprehensive school just like all of the white working class kids you talk about. Is it my fault they don't pay attention, leave school and then leave without qualifications? How am I not disgusted by sectarian abuse, when it is I who brought it up? That literally makes no sense.
2
@Vase of Flowers The taking of the knee and the pointing towards the respect badge FOR ME is standing up vs all forma of discrimination. The death of an American career criminal? Nobody deserves to die like that. That's unless you don't believe in justice and are more for kangaroo courts. Not really sure anymore what you're actually standing up for, bar having an agenda.
2
Cian MacGana A ploy? What an utter embarrassment you are. So sectarianism or the mentioning of it is a ploy but you mentioning so called grooming gangs outside of a football stadium isn't? Why are you somehow downplaying sectarianism and yet somehow giving light to other social issues? I'm not saying that people overseas where not party to racist abuse. Clearly I would be stupid to somehow assume that all of the abuse came from a certain part of the country or place. I mentioned the white cockneys and northerners because they literally filmed themselves and posted them on social media. 80K people inside of a stadium match after match booing national anthems, causing disturbances, and then racially abusing players, and you're not an apologist?

@stumble_leiner 50 of London's 500 top graduate employers last year across the banking, accounting, medical, legal and retail sectors.
2
@stumble_leiner joking about what?
2
dylan murphy 80k fans inside of Wembley Stadium...they booed the national anthem of every country en masse. So disgusting that even lineker was compelled to plea with fans not to do boo the Italian anthem in the final. Nothing less that xenophobia and hate driven to the core. Tell me how many times has James MacLean received abuse for being Irish and not wearing the poppy? Tiny percentage as well?see, I'm not saying your worse than let's say the Hungarian right wing fans. It is the denial and brushing aside that is embarrassing.
2
@daftwod Please explain.
2
If we look at fan behaviour now they've been allowed back into stadiums, it actually shows we are regressing.
2
matty kelly You're allowed to say what you want, even if it is baseless and a lie.
1
Cian MacGana So James Mcclean being racially abused for many years inside of English stadiums is the result of abuse by foreign people?
1
dylan murphy middle east 😂 you literally introduced racism to the middle east 😂 the BBC found one Saudi account. One! 80k people inside of Wembley Stadium booing every national team's national anthem...real show of respect and non xenophobia, right?😂
1
@Vase of Flowers civil rights act only came into force in 1964. The sexual offences act only came into force in 1967. Ill informed on history? Seems more like you only know of the part of history you want to know.
1
dylan murphy the identify? native homeland? booing other team's national anthem is fighting for the identity of your native homeland?

@daftwod hold hands under the banner of a big gay rainbow? How unbelievably backward. As a heterosexual male, I do not see the fight vs all forms of discrimination as promoting a way of life. You're entitled to your views as to how you lead your life, but don't bring it into a stadium. Football is a sport and it has to work to be inclusive. To judge people just because of who they want to date, love or have sex with is really embarrassing. My interest is not in the promotion of lifestyles. My interest is in telling everyone who loves football that they're welcome.
1
@daftwod I don't even know who those people are. You're again missing the point. Have your beliefs and lead your life how you want. Just don't bring it to a football stadium. Form a political party, a movement or go and stand on a box and preach your nonsense. When I go to a football match, I'm there to watch my team. I'm not there to watch religious fundamentalists and political inclined and deranged lowlife tainting my fellow fans and clubs with their nonsense. Go and do it somewhere else.
1
@Vase of Flowers So what? Why do I care, and what does he have to do with football?
1
@Vase of Flowers Just last week! A villa player received sectarian abuse from a Chelsea fan. Blind or just in denial? An English fan recently appeared in court for the abuse towards the England players who missed penalties. He appeared in court and had his benefits reduced 😂
1
@daftwod 'when I help the poor, they celebrate me. But when I ask why the poor are poor, they call me a communist'.
1
@daftwod I'm not against the free exchange of anything. You're entitled to your opinions and how you decide to lead your life. But don't bring it inside of a football stadium. Go and start a political movement, a political party or speak on the streets. Don't taint my club with your political views. PS. I'm son to two surgeons, own 5 properties across London and mortgage free. I'm the epitome of having privilege. But that doesn't mean I don't understand the plight of the less fortunate.
1
@daftwod You just repeated what I said. You're entitled to your opinions and how you want to lead your life. But don't bring it to a football stadium. Go and form a political party, a movement or stand on a box and preach. When I go and watch my team, I go to watch my team play football. That instead of the next day having my fellow fans and club being tainted by idiots bringing religious and political ideologies, and using football to spread their beliefs. Go somewhere else. PS. I'm not left, centre, right, south, east, north or west. I've never voted in my entire life. I just know that when I go to a stadium, I want everyone to feel welcome to watch a game of football. what you do when you go home is none of my business.
1
@daftwod What does that even mean?
