@Callumet Alcohol is integral to all of the vitriol and ignorance. Makes them more comfortable to say things they most likely immediately regret. I'm half italian and half Kurdish. I lived in the uk for 3 years. When playing for the School team, reaching for a racially oriented thing to say seemed to be a last resort for miserable and unhappy kids. I would get all sorts thrown at me, and then at the end of the game they'd want to shake my hand.
