  1. The sad fallout from all of this is that the bill itself is effectively escaping proper scrutiny in the media. Instead of talking about the bill and its 'legality', we are instead falling over ourselves when it comes to one person's opinions on it.

  2. If they can arrest a man for peacefully holding up a blank piece of paper near parliament, then of course they can 'censor' anything. The act of only allowing it to show on iplayer is well thought through. My parents are in their 60's, and really unless I show them, they wouldn't actively go and seek out the iplayer. So all in all, it means that a lot less people will see it than if it is available readily on a bbc channel.

  3. I remember the days when she would somehow show up on my LinkedIn feed - rather prolific on there when promoting her apparent business acumen, all the while posing like a retired page 3 model. Her apparent looks seemed to have gained her quite a male following, but she has been rather quiet for a while now. It isn't really all that much of a surprise to hear that they're enjoying themselves. They obviously feel protected enough to know that they won't be punished.

  6. Of course they'll continue to hold their heads up in public, and continue to pretend that they're righteous and have indeed done nothing wrong. These are some of the most privileged and entitled people in the country. They truly believe that they're worthy of special treatment, and the fact is, the public have continued to vote for them. In this life, people with more money will always seek solutions for themselves that aren't always available to wider society. But these aren't so called private citizens. These are supposedly the people who are tasked with governing the country, and theoretically to look after its people. But the fact is, the masses have continued to vote for these people no matter how detached they are from reality. Is it really the fault of Mogg, Hancock, Truss or Boris, when the people of England went out and voted for them in droves? And why do we have a media that is basically the extension of the tory party? Why is there a former rep of the tories in charge of a newspaper? Hancock and Osborne exchanging text messages like best friends, when in theory the media is supposed to hold those in power to account. The entire system is utterly broken and rotten to the core.

  8. Sugar who also works for The BBC has openly talked out against people striking as well as even calling for people not to vote for Corbyn. Direct interference whilst working for The BBC. Emily Maitlis even tweeted asking if there was time for labour to overthrow Corbyn before the 2017 general elections. Why weren't they reprimanded for clearly stating partial views, and yet Lineker is? If Lineker has tweeted support for Braverman and the supposed bill, this wouldn't even be news.
