  2. I was born in the north of Iraq in 1982, and I have an unbroken bond with these old Beatles for all the wrong reason. My mum had just passed her driving test and my uncle was tasked with buying an old Beatle for her that we were told was in good condition (the year was 1988). Me and my uncle turned up and we decided to take it for a test drive. Half way through the drive, the floor beneath my feet gave way, and I could see the tarmac underneath. I was only 6 years old, so it was effin terrifying 😂 And then a few moments later, the padding on top of the accelerator pedal became loose and somehow tangled with my uncles shoe laces. For a about 30 seconds, we both thought we were heading for a plunge of 2-3 meters off the road and into a field, whilst my uncle was desperately trying to free his foot from the pedal 😂 Every time I see one of these, I'm immediately taken back to that day.
