  11. The keyboard clairvoyants/expert crime detectives are literally the people who are scraping the bottom of a barrel of cesspit. This poor man is most likely living a nightmare that hopefully none of us will ever experience. He has most likely been encouraged to give an interview by the police etc. I once was out for a walk and lost sight of my little sister for all of a minute - I felt like my heart was jumping out of my chest and when I came across a person, I was literally struggling to force words out in a coherent manner.  Stop judging people when the police have just come out and said that she most likely fell into the river by accident.

  14.  @Baglady111  There is no 'crime scene', armchair detective. A crime scene is a place where there is at least 1 evidence of there being foul play. They found nothing.

  15.  @NoNameEst1992  Because 'me ma' or 'me mum' are locally influenced slang phrases. It might appear in writing between families or might be quoted in a book as how a person spoke, but it isn't falling foul of grammar. The person saying 'me ma' usually knows that the correct English is 'my mum' or 'my mother'. Would of and should of are lazy grammatical mistakes. The same goes for those people who can't distinguish between when to use then and than. In this case, the person didn't knowingly make the mistake. They just didn't know that it is must HAVE* and not 'must of'.

  24.  @megaxenu753  I live on the Shadwell basin in east London. It is a closed off body of water. A kid drowned during the hot days of the summer, and even in what is a basin, it took the police divers two full days to find the poor soul. This in comparison is a moving river. It will have varying levels of depth. IF the body is in the water, it might be kept down by something or it could've very quickly made its way down with the current. we don't know. But if it took the police divers two days to find a body in a basin, imagine trying to find a body in a massive and moving body of water.

  28. IF it turns out that she has wilfully ran off with someone, she will automatically become the most hated person in the country - abandoning two young children. For that reason, I don't think she will ever voluntarily come forward IF she has escaped for another life. But at this stage, it is almost bonkers to believe she is still alive. No chance.

  29. This case seems to have made every 'ex detective' and his dog come out of the woodwork for a bit of self promotion. The family continue to ask to be left alone and be provided with privacy but the media just won't stop.

  30. How exactly? The police are not magicians. They've literally scoured the entire river and now spending even more of taxpayer's money looking in and around the bay as well. They're chasing up nearly a thousand cars that went through that area. There isn't a piece of evidence to give them any idea of what happened. What exactly are they supposed to do, armchair detective sergeant?
