This is probably one of the most unbiased report from SCMP in recent history. This guy reflects the hopes of dreams of all Chinese people globally. The seemingly unstoppable rise of China leading up to 2008 and the mysterious about face which leads to downfall of China after Olympics. His hopes and sadness said it all.

@shanwnt1657 The downfall of China will overshadow its rise. And its happening sooner than anyone has ever imagined. Greed and corruption within the leadership and party DNA is turning this success story for the ages into the greatest ponzi scam of all times. You can only fool people for a short while before the facade fades. Just look at all the flooding, poor COVID management, centrally planned natural disasters, bank failures, the list is greater than anything any other Asian or global countries are capable of.

@marvinduanechua9300 unless you are powerless to make changes to your circumstances. For example, you can't grow corn much less a tree without water or have the water taken away from you every time you sprout

@marvinduanechua9300 and this is probably why they went after destroying and centrally managing all religions. So that people are truly without hope. And so in that void, the only thing the people can do is submit to the one and only party leadership
