  2.  @lex-is9ge  do the math. This is a Lamborghini. Paint job and body panels don't come cheap. Don't forget sky high import tax on foreign made anything. And you're looking at easily 20K USD factory repair bill

Add to that the average worker is paid around 4000 Ringgit (RMB6000) a month which is middle class... And you can figure out the rest. And I'm not even talking about the 600 million Chinese who earn less than 1000RMB (650 Ringgit a month)

  5.  @Ex-Mohammed_Anwar  obviously you are lucky. That's not how insurance works in China even if the poor guy can afford to buy it. Insurance isn't full coverage especially if you're at fault. Even if you're fully covered, if you're at fault, you're on the hook for minimum 20% of the damage. And the maximum payout is around USD 7000. So in this case, even if he had insurance, which most ebike owners do not, it will barely make a dent (Pun intended) on the repair bill. Your USD 160 rate is almost half a month's salary for many people there, making it unaffordable
