  1. Not true. Newer LED bulbs have shortened life span by using 'thermal plastic' instead of aluminum or better design to dissipate heat. Also using cheapest possible components possible so while the LED chips can last 100,000 hours+ the voltage conversion circuits inside will fail between 3 months to 3 years of light duty use prompting you to seek replacement. And since you're sold on the promise of 'lifetime' warranty, you threw away the receipt and so there's no warranty claims. Even if there were to be warranty claims, the cost is so low it doesn't matter anyway. Many second generation LED bulbs with their bulky metal heat sinks are still running just fine 8 years later.
