  1. Fun fact Newfoundland was an independent country at one time but couldn't financially make it on its own and could of joined the US but the British back then made sure that wasn't going to happen.

  3. Military protection from who? Russia? We already have military bases there. It is a gaint ice cap with limited real land and resources because everything is under ice. If they want to join the US fine otherwise this sounds like a distraction. Are we going to hit the few beaches there are like D day?
