  6. Having owned 8 hybrids, all Toyota’s, still have 2, each has delivered 250k trouble free miles and each still going strong. I love them. My 2019 Avalon Limited Hybrid gets 49 to 50 mpg on the hwy and I love it! Favorite car yet. Wife’s 2018 Highlander Hybrid Limited Platinum is equally amazing and we average 29mpg to 32mpg…. I’m an electrical engineer….. we live in Branson, MO and all vehicles are garaged in a heated/cooled garage

  10. Was talking with a Toyota master tech last week and he was telling me of the horrific problems they are having with the turbo V6 motors in the Tundra. He’s replaced dozens of turbos, 3 on a single vehicle. He suggested I keep my 2021 Sequoia Platinum and not consider the 2023 Sequoia Capstone. He’s predicting a complete redesign needed for the v6 twin turbo. He said it’s not very Toyota-like and he’s surprised they launched it with so many issues.

  11. Camo inside and out is so tacky IMHO. I’d prefer a different color leather in the capstone too. Two leather is pretty tacky too. I’d love to have seen the Carmel corn color like my LC500

  12. 2021 Sequoia Platinum here, we love her. She tows our 23’ Airstream with ease and the silver color matches our camper almost perfectly

  21. Convertible Looks amazing in my garage and on the road, atomic silver with toasted Carmel interior…. $112k well spent. Interior is heavenly. For the coupe, tough to choose the gorgeous glass roof vs the carbon fiber roof ….. go convertible

  23. Sadly, Nissan reliability has dropped to that of Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat and it started with Renault’s acquisition and all the terrible “Renault engineering”. Adding Peugeot to the mix just made matters even worse. Pre-Renault, Nissan could hold its own with Toyota and Honda. Now, not even close. Tell her to baby it or else a never ending repair bill will occur.

  32. I only buy brand new, I compromise on nothing, I know the exact color and interior I want before I walk in the door. I typically purchase just about every single OEM accessory with it at the time of sale. I typically know more about the model, its sales figures, its weaknesses, its strengths, ect, than any of the sales folks. I rarely buy off the lot and just have them order exactly what I want

  36. I would have installed Sylvania LED fog, lights and headlights while you have the whole thing apart. They have a five-year warranty and unlike some of the eBay specials that you’re lucky if they last six months, the Sylvania really seem to last a long time and they are way brighter than standard halogen.

  44. Love my 2021 Sequoia Platinum 4WD, paid cash, brand new. LED headlights are amazing, safety tech is sufficient, kids love the blueray DVD and I love I can fill a 1TB microSD with kids movies and it plays all of them flawlessly. Power rear window is glorious. Air suspension is glorious. The light silver and red rock leather interior looks amazing pulling our 2022 Airstream. It’s even prewired for a trailer brake. Only thing I miss, seat cooler is about worthless, 360 camera would be wonderful. Heated steering wheel would be great. Real wood would be wonderful.

If given the choice to keep a vehicle for the next 15+ years, used for towing an Airstream camper, less than 5k miles total use per year, which would u choose: 2021 Sequoia Platinum 4WD or 2023 Sequoia Capstone 4WD? I love my 2021 and that it’s NA V8, but hate not having the 360 camera, parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert/braking, heated steering wheel, and seats that actually cooled effectively, else my 2021 is flawless for me.

  50. I’m in the same boat, including the 2022 Airstream, but went with the 2021 Sequoia platinum in silver with terracotta interior….. couldn’t convince my wife to spend another $20k for the LC…. Paid cash for a brand new Sequoia instead….
