  13. Russia is very much a threat to us. The oceans haven’t protected us in a long time. All it takes for the cleans to no longer be that protective wall is for us to turn away from the world and for Russia or China to build up a proper navy with the capabilities that the modern USN has. And that’s ignoring space born weapons, cyber attacks, terrorism, and ICBMs. America gains literally nothing by letting Russia expand its empire, and stands to lose everything.

If Russia didn’t intend to take all of Ukraine they wouldn’t have aligned the massive multi front offensive that they did; with the key targets being the capital. The lack of troops was because they didn’t expect the Ukrainians to fight back, nor that they didn’t want the whole country. To say other wise is Russian propaganda and pure copium.

Republicans are so good at war they dragged us into two separate forever wars in the Middle East which soaked up literal trillions of dollars for no reason, and now that the US has the chance the cripple one of its main rivals for literal pennies on the dollar. they’re getting cold feet. And the democrats make up 50% of the American population. The GOP are pretty unpopular, especially if they run trump. And it was the so called “isolationists” calling fro America to invade Mexico.

Thousands of people dying every day and entire nations descending into chaos while our enemies go on the offensive is not a good thing for the US. Our entire way of life relies on global stability to encourage trade that enables healthy economies. We cannot afford to not have an overseas presence, we saw that with Pearl Harbor as the oceans no longer could protect us. And on top of that to act like ducking Iraq and Afghanistan are the only forms of foreign intervention there is is just pure idiocy.
