  1.  @qiqichen-zt8ig  This depends on your definition of "third world country", I mean even Argentina and Chile have a higher GDP per capita than China, but they sell most wine and other agricultural products, while China is building aircrafts and designing advanced microchips. So the definition of "advanced" and "rich" country is not completely objective.

  2. ASML is already in the 5nm and even talking about 3nm chips together with Samsung and Intel, so yes SMIC and any other similar company is still at least 10 years behind.
