Tango has a african influence, but also an european one, so it's not correct to say that it's a black people invention. Just like Jazz, Samba, etc, these rhythms were born by the combination of african, european, and indigenous cultural influences, they're not solely "african".

They "eradicated" the native population because they actually intermixed with them, a good portion of the Argentina population today is mixed and multiracial, mainly from white+native background. This is why the native population has shrank, the same process happened in Brazil.

This is not true at all, there are more Black people in USA as a proportion of their population than in Brazil. I don't know from what source people get this idea that Brazil is a country full of black people, so much so to be "considered" the largest black country outside Africa, this is absolutely ludicrous. Please if you have the opportunity visit Brazil, but don't stay only in Rio de Janeiro, visit all the states in Brazil especially in the North Amazonian region, the Center region, and also the South region, maybe you will learn something about the racial composition of Brazil and stop talking nonsense.

@SSAAMM1993 Vc é mestiço algo muito típico no Brasil, vc pode até se "sentir" um negro africano, mas não é, geneticamente vc é tão europeu quanto africano, é 50-50. Ou seja, vc é mestiço ou pardo, simples assim. É um erro achar que uma pessoa como vc é negra, não faz sentido nenhum.

@SSAAMM1993 Se vc for contar todo mundo que tenha um certo grau de genetica africana como negro, então vc também tem que fazer os mesmo com a genética européia e a genetica indígena/asiática. Seguindo esse raciocínio a maior parte da população brasileira é na verdade mais européia do que negra, porque os genes que são predominantes na população brasileira são genes europeus, mesmo entre mulatos ou pardos. Por exemplo, olha o caso do Neymar, ele é um típico mestiço/pardo, mas se forem fazer um exame de DNA nele pode ter certeza que a maior carga genética vai ser européia, como na maioria dos pardos brasileiros. Olha o filho do Neymar, ele parece mais branco ou mais negro? Só africanistas radicais e pessoas de esquerda acreditam que o Brasil é um país negro IoI, mas do ponto de vista genético, que é o que de fato importa, isso não faz o menor sentido.

@blab1265 Tango has as much african influence as an european one, look at the instruments that are used and how they're played, and the rhythm itself and compare with the popular dances of Italy. It's not correct to say that Tango is a 100% afro rhythm, this ignores the european and also the indigenous influence. The same is true for other rhythms influenced by afro decedents like Jazz, or Samba, etc, they also receive influence from whites as well.

Vc não sabia porq essa informação é totalmente falsa, eles estão contando todos os pardos como Negros, quando na verdade cerca de 1/3 desse pardos são na verdade de sangue indígena e vivem na região norte, eles não são negros, mas entram como se fossem nesse v[ideos de gringos burros. Esse vídeo basicamente usa a regra racista criada nos Estados Unidos chamada de "regra de uma gota", one drop rule. Ou seja, se qualquer pessoa tiver algum de decendência africana, mesmo que seja mínimo, ela é considerada Negra, mas por razões óbvias esse tipo de classificação não faz sentido nenhum.

Latam is from Chile, and the Black population in Brazil is close to 8%. For comparison Black in US are about 14% of the population.

@tamrat-kifleabebe2054 Not true at all, you're just one more ignorant gringo who don't know nothing about Brazil. Of the 43% of the Brazilian population who are "mixed" about a third of this are what we call "caboclos" which are basically a population produced from the mixing between "whites+indigenous", they're not Blacks. The rest are what we call "mulatos" or "morenos", and even among this population most of them have the majority of their genes coming from european populations. For instance, Neymar in Brazil is not considered a Black person, he's mixed but not Black, in the US they have a weird interpretation of race, everyone that has even a small portion of african blood is automatically considered Black, but this is not how the racial classification works in Brazil and in most of Latin America. If you make a genetic testing on Neymar the result would probably shock you, because most of his genetic background would come from europe, look at his son. You cannot say that a person that has 70% of european genes, 20% from africa, and 10% from indigenous, you cannot say that this person is Black, this doesn't make any sense, only in the US a classifcation like this is accepted.
