Singapore has a higher economic inequality than US but is one of the safest countries in the world, Chile has a comparable wealth inequality with Brazil, but the rate of violence in Brazil is much higher. Economic inequality per se does NOT cause violent behavior, there is certainly an association between these variables because they exist in the same social space but the association is not causal in nature.

  2. Yep, the type of impartiality and cool analysis that he uses to dissect the systemic racism claim is completely lost when he talks about Trump, so even Sam Harris is not immune to irrational thinking and confirmation bias.
