  7. Because Brazil is a dangerous country, where you're at a constant fear of suffering violence and being robbed, and it's very hard to make a decent living without being rich. A McDonald employee living in the US or in Europe has a better quality of life and access to goods than a middle class brazilian. Only the rich have a somewhat normal life in Brazil.

  10. There's a significant Japanese descent in Peru but Brazil has much more. The Japanese diaspora in Peru is roughly 100.000 descendants, in Brazil is close to 2.000.000, and in USA is 1.500.000.
