When his advisors warned him that the debt was projected to rise sharply over the next 8 years, he said he didn't care because, "I'll be gone then". Obama raised the debt to record levels, (to get us out of a recession), but Trump is raising the debt at an EVEN HIGHER RATE than Obama. The budget deficit went up to $1.5 trillion due to the Trump tax cuts. Deficits become debt.
