  1. “Live simple and save.” I can’t say it any better. That’s always been my motto. I’m 35 and have definitely done okay for myself. I’ll be selling my house (already paid for) for a six figure profit this year. I’m going to buy a truck and 5th wheel and travel around the country until the housing prices drop out and I find the next place I want to live. Might be a few years, but I’ll enjoy the adventure. Honestly, less than $10k is dirt cheap for what you have built. I also realize that you have put in countless hours of time and effort. You’re coming along great. You have a great mindset and work ethic. Keep it up. You have our full support. God bless you and yours!!

  2. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been following you guys for over a year. I’m finally settled in with my 5th wheel trailer and new truck. As of tomorrow, I get to pick up my “girls”. They’ve been at my sisters house while I have gotten everything ready. I have 2 cockatiels and 4 parakeets. It’s funny that I only choose homes that accommodate them and put them before myself. Not just the birds, but even for my mom and her dog, Henry. I simply won’t buy anything unless it works for everyone. If it does well for them, it’s always good for me. That’s a task right there to find a home for everyone, haha 🤣. It’s a new adventure for me and I’m excited it’s all coming together. I’m you guys are doing well. The plants look great. It would be a while before they’re root bound, so don’t worry. Having more roots makes them easier to transplant. Looking forward to seeing the garden. And hey, where was Skeeter?? He always sneaks his way in.

  4. You can definitely tell that a woman lives there too lol. Ciera has done a very nice job with decorating. Always enjoy seeing the chickens 🐓. They sure have grown. Awesome you can let them free range and then they just take themselves to bed. Some of our pet birds 🐦 do that too. They’re like “okay, I’m tired. See you later.”

I remember him saying previously that he’s happy for people to use his ideas, but just to share the love and give him a shoutout. You must have seen that one too lol. I noticed you also used the ‘bubble foil’ to insulate the bottom of the cabin. Everything is looking great and you’re doing an awesome job. Keep it up and stay safe, my friend!

  12. I’m selling my house now and that’s exactly what I said. It’s lived in and looks like it. Yes, it’s clean and organized, but by no means immaculately clean. Unless you’re rich and can afford a full time maid, it’s just not going to work that way.

  30. I really like that electric pump for the shower. Looks so much better than the pump canisters I have seen. They only hold like 3 gallons and you have to pump it back up mid shower to regain the pressure. You can pump at the flip of a switch and can hold as much water as the container you’re pulling from. Awesome job! 👍

  31. The 4-wheeler was a great addition. I bought a cheap Polaris 330 last year for $1,100 and it’s been great. Cheap and simple is the way to go 👍

  40. The guy who mentioned having curtains or blinds was really spot on. My first house had no window coverings and adding blinds made a huge difference. It was my dream house and fully paid for, but it eventually wore on me, so I sold it and have a big 5th wheel trailer now. Even the blinds in here make a big difference when it’s cold. Maybe Cierra would like to take that on as a project. You can get a decent sewing machine for $100 and always find different materials/fabrics on clearance. It’s just a thought. I love the channel and wish you guys the best.

  49. My first apartment was about 700 sq ft. A 24 x 32 cabin would exceed that. I always had plenty of room, especially for myself. It wouldn’t have been anything having a wife and dog living there too. Even having a kid there would have been manageable. The 3,500 sq ft Las Vegas estate I have now is just a big pain to clean and keep up. Was a great investment, but I’m ready to get back to a more simple way of life.

  50. Kyle, that’s a great design you came up with. The loft will be awesome. It would be really cool if you had a staircase that you could raise and lower. Just an idea to maximize your space. When I designed my backyard about 6 years ago, I had one of the crudest blueprints you’ve ever seen. It was mostly for a guide, as the real picture was in my head. I can just tell that you have a vision for what your house. Anyways, my yard is absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I’m looking forward to your journey and watching it unfold.
