Those are the people who ultimately had to pay the extra tax. Tariffs is just a tax, and it never worked. There is no winner in a trade war. US$ may become worthless like the Japanese Yen after WW2, but the Japanese economy still survived and prospered. To ease the US trade and budget deficit, Americans must learn to consume and waste less and work harder, smarter, and produce more. You can make some short term profits and drive the stock market up a few thousand points, but global warming will kill you soon enough if you fail to take care of the environment and of others. India's economy will surpass USA in 2050, China's economy will be double that of USA, but USA will hold a solid third place, followed by Indonesia, Brazil, etc. UK, France, Japan, and even Russia will be eating dust. The Chinese have for a few generations sacrificed themselves so the rest of the world can live in peace and prosperity by adopting the one child per family policy to curb population growth. Now that the population growth rate has stabilized in China, the CCP is allowing two children per family. So there is not going to be a fall in world population, at least not in China. I have Chinese friends with 10, 11 siblings. Like rabbits, the Chinese can repopulate the world almost instantly if needed. This is based on truth and verifiable facts. No solar panels, no wind turbine, no electric car, and no hydrogen powered buses. USA did not even recognise the People's Republic of China as a country. PRC was not allowed in the UN or take part in the Olympics. USA was murdering millions upon millions of innocent and defenseless Communist men, women, and children CIVILIANS in Vietnam, and the Middle East was still in relative peace and prosperity. Now, USA has terrorised the Middle East, torturing and murdering millions upon millions of innocent Muslim men, women, and children CIVILIANS, and putting millions more into poverty, homelessness, hopelessness, and helplessness, all for nothing but US greed, vanity, and fear. Has the world population decreased since 1973 ? No. It has exploded instead. Middle East countries have been busy making babies to make up for those killed by the American motherfuckers. USA is expecting a huge harvest of soybeans and cherries, but they are going to rot in the field because the Chinese are not buying them. They would rather buy from Brazil, Mexico, and Russia instead, and Russia is giving land and technologies to China to help them grow their own. So there will not be any shortage of food and resources for everyone. Chinese is helping Asian countries, African countries, and South American countries in their infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, and industrial developments. Africa alone has more population than USA, so it will become a bigger market for the Chinese and everyone else in a few years. USA will be eating dirt. India will surpass USA by 2050 according to professional predictions. Fear mongering and war mongering has been the favorite pastime of the Americans. China minds its own business, and in the last three decades, Communist China lifted 800 million people from poverty, a contribution to mankind no other nation in human history has ever come close to matching.
