Why is Canada so stupid as to start a war when USA is only imposing a small tariff on Canadian imports because Canada failed to stop Chinese fentanyl or start imposing tariffs on Chinese imports ? What part of it makes sense ? USA imposed 10% plus 10% equals 20% tariffs on Chinese imports. All Canada needed to do was to impose a 25% tariffs on Chinese imports and come out smelling like a rose. All fentanyl comes from China, you know ? The drug is killing Canadians as well as Americans, you know ? To contain the crimes committed by Communists China, every nation in the world should bear some of the burden and not leaving it solely on Trump's shoulders. Wake up, Canada !!! The answer to my question why Canada is so stupid as to start a war with USA is the fact that the POTUS has no legal right to impose any tariff without the approval of the House and the Senate, unless there is national security emergency to do so. There is no such emergency with Canada and/or Mexico. In other words these Trump tariffs are illegal and must be lifted retroactively or the US Supreme Court can step in. In any regard, Trump must back down or go to jail. It's that simple and Canada knows. So Canada took this opportunity to open up more alternative markets. @ButUrWrongTho Don't be ridiculous !!! The POTUS does not have the power to impose tariffs without the House and the Senate authorization unless it is for reason of national security emergency. Trump tariffs towards Communist China are legal, but those towards Canada and Mexico are not. The US Supreme Court can order to have them removed any time. That is why it is a joke, and the purpose is to convince the Canadians and the Mexicans, and their respective governments to levy a 25% tariffs on CCP imports to their countries. The 20% Trump used towards the CCP was meant to allow Canada and Mexico to be ahead of the USA until Trump adds another 10% each month. He promised 60%. 60% is not just a number out of thin air. Trump understood that 60% is sufficient to make the CCP surrender. At 10% per month, that's 6 months. Noticed that I used CCP and not China or Chinese ? The CCP is a party in China. It is not and it does not represent China or the Chinese people. There is only one China which is the 145 years old Republic of China. May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.
